About the award

What is the DAA?

The Distinguished Alumni Award (DAA) is the highest honour the Institute confers on its alumni. It recognises sustained, exceptional achievement in business, public service, academia, social impact or any field of human endeavour - accomplishments that reflect the values of the Institute and inspire the WIMWIan community across generations.

Last date of Nomination is 31st August 2026
How it works

DAA Guidelines

Nominations are made by fellow alumni, faculty or batch/chapter representatives after signing in — self-nominations are not permitted. Each nominator may nominate up to five alumni, with a qualitative portfolio and verification attachments, in one of these award categories:

  • Academia and Research
  • Corporate Leadership
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Government and Public Service
  • Impact Sector
  • Sports, Art & Creativity

Eligible nominees are graduates of a long-duration programme (PGP, FABM/ABM/SPA, PGPX, FPM/PhD) who graduated preferably before 2011. Nominations are evaluated by a selection committee and final awards are approved by the Director.
